Laurie Demeritt, the current president and COO of The Hartman Group, Inc., Bellevue, WA, is being elevated to chief executive officer of the firm. She succeeds Harvey Hartman, founder of The Hartman Group, who is stepping aside, but will continue as chairman. Ms. Demeritt began her career with The Hartman Group more than 15 years ago as a marketing intern and worked her way through management positions of sales, marketing, and operations and became the firm’s president and COO in 2005. Ms. Demeritt will assume her new role effective January 2, 2013.
